PhotoActif™ is dedicated to combining monochromatic red, near infrared and blue LEDs (light emitting diodes) with synergistic topicals to treat a variety of skin and body conditions.

    
PhotoActif was founded in 2003 with the intention of developing a novel, effective, light-based cellulite treatment. Through our research and development, we determined cellulite was not the only condition that could be treated through the combination of light and topical agents.

With this information, we developed a complete corrective skin and body care system. This system includes in-office and homecare protocols to achieve results any skin care professional would be proud to offer and any patient will be excited to experience.
By creating a system of in-office treatments and synergistic homecare products, PhotoActif provides the skin care professional and the patient with the confidence of a complete system of light and synergistic topicals to achieve results.

    Since 2003, PhotoActif has been dedicated to the development of a hands-free and pain-free system to treat cellulite. The PhotoMesotherapy system by PhotoActif is the only system in the world to have been studied by independent researchers at a renowned medical school who have no financial interest in the company. The double-blind, placebo controlled study on the reduction of the appearance of cellulite was presented at the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) Symposium (April 2005) by Gordon H. Sasaki, MD, FACS, Clinical Professor, Loma Linda Medical School. In the fourth quarter of 2006, the FDA granted clearance for the PhotoActif illumiMed device for Pain and Acne. PhotoActif is proud to announce that the cellulite study will be published in a peer-reviewed journal (second quarter 2007).
